DESCRIPTION:Consecration Sunday is a specialized spiritual-growth and stewardship program used by Methodist congregations—including those in the Global Methodist Church—focused on biblical giving rather than traditional fundraising.\n\nCore Purpose\n\n\nSpiritual Focus: It approaches financial giving as a spiritual discipline and act of discipleship\, asking the question\, “What is God calling me to do?” rather than “What does the church need to pay its bills?”\n\n\n\n\n\nEstimate of Giving: Members and attendees areinvited to prayerfully fill out an “Estimate of Giving” card during a designated morning worship service.\n\n\n\n\nHow the Program Works\n\n\n\nCelebration and Commitment: The service centers on celebrating what God is doing through the congregation and looking forward with anticipation to the upcoming year.\n\n\n\n\nGiving Cards: Congregants place their financial commitment cards in the offering or turn them in during a dedicated moment in the service.\n\n\n\n\nFollow-Up: Absent members are mailed information and a giving card following the service\, and results (percentages of growth and overall stewardship goals) are will be shared.
