Let’s prepare our hearts and minds for Vacation Bible School starting tonight at 6 pm.
“Selah” Psalms 139, 142, 136
  • Psalm 139 (Omniscience & Creation): This Psalm celebrates God’s intimate knowledge of you—He knows your thoughts, your movements, and formed you in the womb. It reminds you that you are uniquely and wonderfully made, and that there is nowhere you can go to escape God’s loving, guiding presence.
  • Psalm 142 (Refuge in Distress): Written while David was hiding from his enemies in a dark cave, this is a heartfelt cry for help when feeling completely alone, overwhelmed, and misunderstood by the world. It highlights the comforting truth that even when no one else cares, God knows your path and is your ultimate refuge.
  • Psalm 136 (Unending Love & Thanksgiving): Often called the “Great Hallel” (Great Hymn of Praise), this corporate song of thanksgiving recounts the wonders of creation and Israel’s history. It is unique because every single verse ends with the exact same, powerful refrain: “For his steadfast love endures forever.”
